妖怪退治を頼まれた珊瑚。依頼主は、６年前、珊瑚に一目惚れした若殿・蔵乃介。容姿、身分、資産と三拍子そろう蔵乃介の求婚に、内心どう断ろうかと困惑の珊瑚。一方、弥勒と珊瑚の仲を応援するかごめは、弥勒の気持ち確認の好機と動き出すが、弥勒は、奈落と戦う旅を続けるより蔵乃介と夫婦になる方が幸せ、と考えていた。弥勒にふられたと思った珊瑚は怒り爆発、妖怪を退治するが、妖怪は怨霊。珊瑚、絶体絶命に。その危機を法力で救う弥勒。蔵乃介は、珊瑚の仇討ちの決意を汲み、快く旅立ちを見送る。
English Summary:
After having first met six years ago, Sango is reacquainted with Kuranosuke Takeda, lord of the Takeda clan. Kuranosuke asks that Sango must slay a bear demon haunting his palace, as well as to accept his marriage proposal. While Sango hesitates to decline the marriage proposal, Miroku becomes exceedingly envious of her; however, he tells Sango that she's free to choose. When Kagome questions, he says that he thinks Sango shouldn't refuse a chance to have an everyday life. Sango is caught off guard when battling the bear demon. However, Miroku defeats the bear demon through the ritual of exorcism. Sango ultimately declines to marry Kuranosuke, and he lets her go with the group.
