白霊山の結界が消滅。犬夜叉を心配するかごめは、鋼牙たちと白霊山へ向かう。同じころ、桔梗と殺生丸は別の場所で異変を察知。鳴動する白霊山の内部では、犬夜叉と蛮骨の決戦が始まっていた。弥勒と珊瑚は白霊山内でついに奈落を発見。しかし、神楽の風刃で足場を崩されて転落する。妖気がない蛮骨には爆流破は使えない。蛮骨の懐に飛び込み、腕の四魂のかけらを奪う犬夜叉だが、蛮骨は更に踏み込んできた犬夜叉を殴り倒し、七人隊首領の底力を見せつける。
English Summary:
Bankotsu sets his sight on Inuyasha, using all seven shards of the Shikon Jewel. Bankotsu explains how the Band of Seven was joined after he first met Naraku, who mentions the manifestation of the Shikon Jewel. Bankotsu recalls the moment that Naraku resurrected him with a shard of the Shikon Jewel. Miroku and Sango return to the shaft, as they are met by Kagura once again. It is discovered that Naraku used Saint Hakushin to reside within the barrier of Mount Hakurei to complete his demonic transformation, all because Inuyasha has acquired the Barrier Shattering. Kagome locates where Naraku and Bankotsu are inside the mountain.
