珊瑚が明かす『四魂の玉』誕生秘話。強い霊力を持っていた古の巫女・翠子は、融合した多数の妖怪との死闘の末、妖怪の魂を自分の魂に取り込んで打ち出して亡くなったという。その魂の塊が四魂の玉。年月の末、穢れて里に戻り、里から桔梗に預けられて浄化されていたが、玉が持つ因縁は桔梗を死に至らしめていた。その因縁を断ち切ってやると意気込む犬夜叉。その夜、冥加の好奇心でミイラ妖怪が復活。退治する犬夜叉だが、冥加はその姿に翠子を見た。
