名主の子、太郎丸と知り合った犬夜叉達は、子供を生贄にする水神の社に乗り込むが、神器を持つ水神の神通力に翻弄されてしまう。だが、弥勒が本物の水神（女神様）を見つけ出した。ニセ水神は蛇の化身。神器を取り戻す太郎丸の活躍や、本物の女神様の助けもあり、犬夜叉達は、無事、ニセ水神を退治する。
English Summary:
Inuyasha, Kagome, Miroku, Sango, and Shippo find themselves in a town where the sacrifice of the firstborns is mercifully offered to an arrogant water god. The four are hired by the village headman's son, Taromaru, to save his friend, Suekichi. Inuyasha, Kagome, and Shippo all work together to destroy the false water god, while Miroku and Sango search and free the true water goddess, then arrive and help the others.
