手下狼を殺された妖狼族の若頭、鋼牙は、四魂のかけらを仕込んだ右腕と両足を武器に、犬夜叉と互角の闘いを繰り広げる。結局、危険を察知し、あっさり逃げた鋼牙だが、かごめの霊力に興味を持って戻ってきた。鋼牙がさらったかごめには七宝がくっついていく。かごめを捜す犬夜叉達は、途中で妖鳥に襲撃された。その妖鳥こそ、妖狼族の天敵・極楽鳥。極楽鳥が持つ四魂のかけらを狙う鋼牙に協力を約束したかごめは、助けが来るのを待ちつつ逃げ出すチャンスを窺う。
English Summary:
After slaughtering much of the wolves, Inuyasha and his companions are met by Koga, who instantly dislikes Inuyasha. Koga sees Inuyasha perfecting the Wind Scar of the Tetsusaiga, an attack gained by sensing the fissure between two demonic forces. Koga later decides to kidnap Kagome along with Shippo while attacking the others. He instructs Kagome to use her ability to see the shards of the Shikon Jewel to destroy the demonic Birds of Paradise attacking his clan.
