かごめから奪った四魂のかけらを奈落に渡した桔梗が犬夜叉の前に現れた。「私が四魂の玉と共に奈落を消し去るまでは殺されるな」と告げて去った桔梗を庇う犬夜叉に、かごめは腹を立ててしまう。奈落が生み出した三番目の分身、悟心鬼が犬夜叉達への刺客として差し向けられた。心を読む悟心鬼に闘いの先回りをされ、苦境に立つ犬夜叉達。『風の傷』を突き抜けた悟心鬼は、鉄砕牙を噛み砕く。だが、この危機に犬夜叉は、完全な妖怪に変化。悟心鬼を血祭りにあげた犬夜叉を、かごめは「おすわり」で鎮め、元に戻す。
English Summary:
Inuyasha confronts Kikyo as to her motivations for giving Naraku the stolen shards of the Shikon Jewel, and she explains it being part of her plan to destroy Naraku ultimately. Meanwhile, Naraku has unleashed Goshinki, a large horned ogre yōkai with the ability of telepathy, revealed to be his third incarnation. Goshinki manages to break the Tetsusaiga but unexpectedly causes Inuyasha to transform into a full-breed dog yōkai.
