崩壊した奈落城跡で、珊瑚は退治屋仲間と父の遺骨を発見。その近くに、記憶を失った琥珀がいた。城から逃げた事しか思い出せない琥珀を奈落の妖怪から救った珊瑚は弟との再会を喜ぶが、犬夜叉は罠だと疑う。自分に関わると戦いに巻き込まれる、とその場から去ってしまう琥珀。だが、そこへ追撃の神楽が現れる。その目的は琥珀の背に埋めた四魂のかけら。かけらを外せば琥珀は死ぬ。琥珀を守りたい珊瑚は、かごめに琥珀を託して妖怪と戦い、犬夜叉と弥勒も神楽の足止めをする。だが、それは罠だった。仲間から引き離されたかごめに、琥珀の凶刃が迫る。
English Summary:
Sango finds her brother alive when he is attacked by demons coming after his shard of the Shikon Jewel, but she discovers he is an amnesiac of his own identity. Inuyasha is reluctant to let him join the group, proving to be a wise decision when Kagura later attacks with a horde of demons. While Inuyasha and Miroku distract her, Kagome and Kohaku escape into the forest.
