殺生丸の完全な妖怪の力を手に入れるため、取り込もうとする奈落。だが、結界を破って現れた犬夜叉に邪魔される。殺生丸も肉塊から無傷で現れ、奈落を追いつめる。形勢不利と見た奈落は瘴気を出してその場から撤退。殺生丸は人質のりんを救うため追撃を断念する。同じ頃、かごめ達はりんを連れた琥珀を発見するが、見失う。琥珀はりんを殺せと暗示を受けていた。殺生丸は犬夜叉達に先んじて琥珀を捕らえ殺そうとするが、琥珀の目に苦しみも恐れもないと気づき、見逃す。一方、奈落が捨てた城跡に辿り着いた桔梗は、奈落の気配が消えた裏に何かあると考えていた。
English Summary:
After Naraku engulfs Sesshomaru, Inuyasha suddenly arrives to release him. However, Naraku is seriously wounded by both of them until their sibling rivalry gets the better of them. The fight is halted when Naraku remotely orders his leverage to kill his hostage, Kohaku ordered to kill his best friend, Rin. Sesshomaru trails to prevent Rin from being killed by Kohaku, her best friend, while Inuyasha simultaneously trails to prevent Kohaku from being killed by Sesshomaru.
