かごめが現代に帰還。明後日の模試対策に追われる。同じ頃、珊瑚は神楽が連れ去った琥珀の身を案じていた。珊瑚を気遣う弥勒だが、スケベ心が災いして平手打ちを喰う。奈落の行方が途切れ、各々の時間を過ごす一同。犬夜叉も現代にかごめを迎えに来て、強盗を退治したり子供を助けたり大活躍する。一方、かごめは試験勉強に励むが、ちょこまかと邪魔する犬夜叉のせいで集中できない。だが、戦い続きで疲れていたのは犬夜叉だった。その寝顔を見て「安心して眠って」と優しく語りかけたかごめだが、寝不足で模試の結果は散々だった。
English Summary:
While Inuyasha, Miroku, and Sango investigate Naraku's abandoned castle with disappointment, Kagome must study for an upcoming test with tediousness.
