奈落の毒虫が現れた。跡を追う殺生丸。一方、毒虫に刺された邪見は瀕死の状態に。残されたりんは邪見を救おうと『千年草の実』を貰いに地念児の畑を向かう。だが、半妖の地念児は人間になっていた。千年草の実は魑魅魍魎が跋扈する崖にある。日が暮れ、元に戻れば手伝うという地念児だが、りんは形を教えて貰い、その崖に登る。一方、犬夜叉達と出会い、かごめから奈落が丑寅の方角に向かったと教えられた殺生丸は、帰途、千年草の実を掴んだまま崖から転落したりんを救い、その実で邪見は助かる。
English Summary:
Inuyasha and his companions are on their way to visit Jinenji. Meanwhile, Jaken is attacked and poisoned by the Saimyōshō. He advises Rin to find a medicinal herb at Jinenji's village before sunset to cure his illness sooner or later. Sesshomaru is also led to the village by a weakened Saimyōshō in hopes of locating the whereabouts of Naraku. Rin finds the herb atop a mountain cliff, and Sesshomaru later catches up to her. As dusk arrives, Jaken is given the herb and is restored to health.
