偽四魂の玉を使う妖怪にさらわれたかごめ達。その救出に動く犬夜叉達だが、眼前に牛王が立ち塞がる。人間の父と牛妖怪の母から生まれた牛王は、昼は人間の出雲、夜は牛王になってしまう半妖。だが、妖怪の姿を嫌う牛王は人間になるため、かごめ達の魂を使って本物の四魂の玉を造り、願いを叶えようと図ったのだ。偽四魂の玉を飲み込んで強化し、力づくで犬夜叉達の魂を奪おうとする牛王。その時、夜が明ける。日輪で人間に変化し始めた牛王は、半妖のまま、取り込んだ偽玉の邪気に冒されて絶命する。
English Summary:
Inuyasha and his companions become scattered due to a fierce attack from the group of demons. Kagome startlingly discovers that Izumo becomes a hanyō named Gyu-oh at nightfall, who intends to create a true Shikon Jewel by using Kagome's spiritual abilities and the souls of her friends. When dawn approaches, Gyu-oh reverts to human form as Izumo, passing away due to the toxin of the fake Shikon Jewels.
