死んだ銀骨のかけらを勝手に使った煉骨は、蛮骨を裏切ったことになり、もう後戻りできない。さらに力を求め、鋼牙が持つ四魂のかけらを奪おうと攻撃してきた。炎に強い火鼠の衣をかごめに貸した犬夜叉は、爆薬を使おうとした煉骨に飛びかかり、一緒に川に飛び込んでしまう。だが、大爆発直前に煉骨が爆薬から手を離したので犬夜叉は無事だった。かごめは泣きながら喜ぶ。一方、蛮骨と再会した煉骨は、内心の謀反心を隠して蛮骨に従う。同じ頃、白霊山の奥に進んだ弥勒と珊瑚は、かすかな邪気を察知する。
English Summary:
Renkotsu vows to avenge Ginkotsu’s destruction after recovering from Koga's battle, preparing his artillery for an assault. Inuyasha is mentioned to have carried Koga to a cave near a waterfall to recover, much to his dismay. Renkotsu distracts Inuyasha with the Saimyoushou while he ignites the cascade into flames, later sending him attacks of ammunition. After entering the cave, Renkotsu threatens to light incendiary devices to obtain Koga's shards of the Shikon Jewel. However, Inuyasha sends Renkotsu into the river of flames, causing a massive eruption. Luckily, both of them manage to survive, much to a surprise.
